At the Gallery Kresija in Ljubljana we had an art exhibition together with Vladimir Leben, displaying an embroidered art installation: A Dog’s Life. Three large embroidered paintings, accompanied by a unique embroidered bench, were on display for a full month.
We have joined the hundred-year-history of photography and a thousand-year-old tradition of embroidery into our eStitch technology. We use threads and needles to create photorealistic embroideries. Our eStitch embroidery convinced even photographers like Steve McCurry.
In collaboration with Playboy Slovenia, we sent the photographer Aleš Bravničar and Natalija Osolnik to India for a photoshoot. One of the photographs taken on this trip is now hanging as an eStitch embroidery in the famous Playboy Mansion owned by Hugh Hefner.
Beehive front panels are a uniquely Slovenian oddity, decorating Slovenian beehives since 18th century. The panels were painted with religious motifs and folklore, depicting true and imaginary stories and resonating the various current events of the time.
Church banners traditionally have oil paintings, which crack and peel after years of use. We developed the eStitch technique to create embroidered artwork which does not wear out with time, while retaining the shine, colours and details through the decades.
Artists constantly seek new expression techniques and methods of creating the motifs they wish to bring to life. Our experience and knowledge gives the artists a new approach to art – transforming their artwork into exquisite artistic embroidered painting.
We created a book cover for Qur’an, the holy book of Islam. The typical intertwining ornaments, embroidered in different embroidery techniques, and a golden metal badge with a stylised original script are combined into a perfect harmony of colors and shapes.
